"Magazine" was founded in 1998 in Bogotá-Colombia by Carolina Hueje, Mariana Silva, Monica Rojas and Paola Quito, who previously had worked individually.
Hueje, worked with Daniel Humm in the design of services in Eleven Madison specializing in operations and human resources to combine a perfect balance in the modern culinary trend of France with the best of New York.
Silva, has worked for more than 20 years for different types of magazines like "gourmet " magazine, "kiosk " a Spanish magazine that has the best Spain traditional recipes with a touch of style Silva´s secret providing gastronomic knowledge.
Rojas, created one of the best restaurants in Colombia called "heaven" creative cuisine opening the mind based on the five senses leaving both customer expectations stealing customers heart and a smile.
Quito, created the restaurant "the old house" specializing in Colombian food is based on traditional Colombian recipes of his mother giving it a secret touch to the dishes providing a boom of flavors on the palate of customers, invested $2,7 million startup cash for "magazine".
The idea for "Magazine" arises to see the need to extend the idea of Colombian cuisine as a fundamental basis for Colombian households, offering the service of the magazine with contributions of the best Colombian chefs, besides implementing notes, recipes and the best secrets never before known gastronomic.
"Magazine" was launched on January 31, 2000 with only 40 employees. Since that time has built a good reputation on restaurant business.On july 2000 "Magazine" announced 400.000 subscribers by the end of the fourth quarter of 2001, totaliting 25 million subscribers for this time period.
